get surgery on both knees to give him the full and happy life he deserves.
Filfil was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis, also referred to as Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD), which is a
progressively worsening inflammation of the joint caused by the deterioration of cartilage. In a healthy
joint, cartilage acts as a cushion to allow the joint to move smoothly through its full range of motion. In
cases of osteoarthritis, this cartilage cushion begins to break down due to factors such as age, The
loss of this protective cushion results in pain, inflammation, decreased range of motion, and the
development of bone spurs.
He has stage 4 in one knee and stage 3 in the other knee, which means he is in pain and cannot walk/jump as before, every move he makes is very painful for him. The vet has advised to operate on
both knees to help him live free of being able to run around again. The surgery will cost 26,000 KC.
I have the full family, which means 5 Chihuahuas: a mother, a father, and 3 boys that I take care of. I love
them with all my heart and will do everything in my power for them to have a great happy life.
