… před pár dny nás všechny, co Martina “Čerta” Šilhánka známe, zasáhla informace o tom, že po bodnutí vosou leží v umělém spánku v nemocnici. Jak je to sakra možné?, ptáme se všichni. Na začátku srpna, při přípravách na první narozeniny jejich milovaného syna Huga, bodla Martina doma vosa. Ač nealergik, během chvilky se mu udělalo nevolno a ještě během telefonátu s RZS mu otekl jazyk a upadal do bezvědomí. Po příjezdu RZS se ho pokoušeli dlouho oživovat a nakonec úspěšně. Čert byl následně letecky přepraven do Brna, kde byl jeho stav stabilizován, ale byl uveden do umělého spánku. První narozeniny svého syna tak strávil na jednotce intenzivní péče. Aby byl rodině blíž, byl po několika dnech převezen do Vyškova, kde nyní leží na ARO.
Prognózy zatím nejsou moc radostné. Čertova hlava a jeho tělo po dlouhé době bez kyslíku nyní netvoří harmonickou dvojici, ale každá část si žije svým vlastním životem. Jaňule s Hugem, Martinova rodina i doktoři se každý den všemožně snaží, aby se obě části opět propojili, Čert se probral a začal alespoň nějakým způsobem komunikovat s okolním světem. Naděje umírá poslední a proto i my všichni věříme, že Čert bude bojovat, a že to za pomoci svých nejbližších i lékařů zvládne. Nicméně, i poté ještě nemá vyhráno. Martina bude čekat další boj o návrat do života, rehabilitace, cvičení, a kdovíco ještě.

…a few days ago, all of us who know Martin “Čert” Šilhánek were struck by the news that after being stung by a wasp, he is now in an induced coma in the hospital. How is this even possible?, we all ask ourselves. At the beginning of August, while preparing for the first birthday of their beloved son Hugo, Martin was stung by a wasp at home. Even though he isn’t allergic, he suddenly felt unwell, and during the call with the emergency services, his tongue began to swell, and he lost consciousness. When the emergency services arrived, they attempted to resuscitate him for a long time, and eventually, they succeeded. Čert was then airlifted to Brno, where his condition was stabilized, but he was placed in an induced coma. He spent his son’s first birthday in the intensive care unit. To be closer to his family, he was transferred after a few days to Vyškov, where he is currently in the ICU.
The prognosis is not very encouraging. Čert’s mind and body, after being deprived of oxygen for so long, are not in harmony; each part seems to be functioning independently. Jaňule with Hugo, Martin’s family, and the doctors are doing everything they can every day to reconnect the two, hoping Čert will wake up and start communicating with the world around him. Hope dies last, and so we all believe that Čert will fight and, with the help of his loved ones and doctors, pull through. However, even then, the battle will not be over. Martin will face another struggle to return to life—rehabilitation, exercises, and who knows what else.
