Pomozme Veronice a jejím dětem v nejtěžším boji

Milí přátelé a všichni dobří lidé s otevřeným srdcem.

Původně jsem tuto sbírku zakládala pro Michala a Veroniku a jejich děti, které osud opravdu velice těžce zkouší. Mezitím se situace v rodině změnila a tato sbírka je určena jen Veronice, Magdalence a Toníčkovi.

Ale vraťme se o pár let zpátky.

Na den, kdy se rodiče malého Matýska dozvěděli strašnou zprávu, nikdy nezapomenou. Jejich ani ne tříletý syn trpí velmi závažnou formou rakoviny. Matýsek začal ihned podstupovat náročnou léčbu a celá rodina věřila v jeho uzdravení. Bohužel, v červenci 2021 se jejich život navždy změnil. Po 15 měsících statečného boje malý Matýsek, tehdy teprve čtyřletý chlapeček plný života a radosti, navždy odešel. 

Po čase se jim narodilo třetí dítě, Toníček, který přinesl do rodiny opět radost, světlo a naději. Jenže loni v březnu, když měl Toníček pouhé 2 roky a 4 měsíce, přišla znovu krutá zpráva. Toníček má rakovinu, stejný typ jako měl Matýsek. Lékaři mu diagnostikovali neuroblastom, rozsáhlý nádor v oblasti bříška a malé pánve s metastázemi do kostní dřeně.

Rodičům se zhroutil svět podruhé. Po ztrátě prvorozeného syna musí znovu čelit kruté realitě onkologického onemocnění u svého dalšího dítěte.

Léčba je dlouhá a velmi náročná. Fyzicky, psychicky i finančně. Chemoterapii, imunoterapii a operaci odstranění nádoru už má za sebou. V současné době podstupuje ve FN Brno velice náročnou vysocedávkovou chemoterapii. Po půl roce léčby přišla od lékařů také první dobrá zpráva, metastázy v kostní dřeni ustoupily.

Během léčby malého Toníčka zasáhla rodinu další těžká rána. Michal, táta obou dětí, a Veronika se po čtrnácti letech společného soužití rozešli – právě v době, kdy ho nejvíce Veronika a děti potřebovali. Veronika tak zůstala sama se dvěma dětmi a péčí o nemocného syna.

Z domu, který s Michalem společně vybudovali, se musí Veronika s dětmi vystěhovat. Po osmi letech strávených na mateřské dovolené si nemůže dovolit vysoký nájem, který po ní bývalý partner požaduje. Spolu s dětmi tak musí opustit místo, které pro ně bylo domovem, a hledat dostupnější bydlení v době, kdy se snaží zvládnout jednu z nejtěžších životních zkoušek.

• školka, škola, pomůcky a kroužky pro Magdalenku i Toníčka

• pokud zbydou prostředky, pořízení staršího spolehlivého auta, aby mohla Veronika jezdit do práce a zvládat časté cesty do nemocnice

Podpora maminky Veroniky

• krytí nezbytných výdajů, aby mohla být co nejvíc s dětmi během léčby
• kompenzace výpadku příjmů (Veronika nemůže nastoupit do práce, léčba byla stanovena na cca 1,5 roku)

Originally, I created this fundraiser for Michal and Veronika and their children, who have been tested by fate in unimaginable ways. In the meantime, the situation in the family has changed, and this fundraiser is now dedicated solely to Veronika, Magdalene, and little Toníček.

But let us go back a few years.

The day when the parents of little Matýsek received the terrible news is a day they will never forget. Their son, not even three years old at the time, was diagnosed with a very severe form of cancer. Matýsek immediately began intensive treatment, and the entire family held onto hope for his recovery. Unfortunately, in July 2021, their lives changed forever. After 15 months of courageous fighting, little Matýsek, then a four-year-old boy full of life and joy, passed away.

Who will we help now?

Some time later, their third child, Toníček, was born, bringing joy, light, and hope back into the family. But last March, when Toníček was just 2 years and 4 months old, the cruel news struck again. Toníček was diagnosed with cancer—the same type his brother had. Doctors confirmed neuroblastoma, an extensive tumor in the abdominal and pelvic region with metastases to the bone marrow.

The parents’ world collapsed for the second time. After losing their firstborn, they now faced the harsh reality of cancer in another child.

The treatment is long and extremely demanding—physically, mentally, and financially. Toníček has already undergone chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and surgery to remove the tumor. Currently, he is receiving very intensive high-dose chemotherapy at FN Brno. After six months of treatment, there was the first good news from the doctors: the metastases in his bone marrow have receded.

During Toníček’s treatment, the family was struck by another heavy blow. Michal, the father of both children, and Veronika separated after fourteen years together—at the exact moment when Veronika and the children needed him most. Veronika was left alone with two children, caring for her sick son.

Veronika must move out of the home she built with Michal. After eight years on maternity leave, she cannot afford the high rent demanded by her former partner. She and the children must leave a place that was their home and find more affordable housing at a time when they are facing one of life’s most severe trials.

Your support can help Veronika and her children get through this difficult period and provide at least the basic security and peace they so desperately need.

How will the funds from this fundraiser be used?

The proceeds will help Veronika and her children navigate this incredibly challenging time.

Medical treatment and healthcare:

• Travel to hospitals (fuel, parking, tolls)
• Medications, vitamins, supplements, and medical aids
• Special nutrition to support immunity during treatment
• Recovery after treatment

Housing and basic living expenses:

• Rent and utilities (electricity, gas, water)
• Internet and phone—necessary for communication with doctors and school
• Basic household expenses (food, repairs, equipment, hygiene supplies)

Children and their needs:

• Kindergarten, school, supplies, and extracurricular activities for Magdalene and Toníček
• Clothing and shoes
• Toys, books, and recreational items
• Summer camps or other activities to help the children live like their peers

Transportation:

• If funds allow, purchase of a reliable used car so Veronika can commute to work and manage frequent hospital visits
• Operating costs of the car (insurance, maintenance, fuel)
