Adriana. That is the name of the young lady we would like to introduce to you. Adriana is a twenty years old girl who has never had an easy life, but she still does not lose hope for a better future.
Komu pomůžeme?
Už odmala se Adriana potýká s nelehkým osudem. Trápí ji kombinované postižení. Trpí hereditární degenerativní progresivní chorobou zvanou Charcot-Marie-Toothův syndrom. Degenerativní změny se týkají jak motorické, tak senzorické složky. Změny jsou nejvýraznější na dolních končetinách. Netýká se avšak jenom dolních končetin, ale i horních končetin a především ovlivňuje a komplikuje každodenní život. Mezi běžné symptomy patří slabosti nohou, kotníků, chodidel a rukou, ztráta svalů na nohou a chodidlech, únava, bolestivé křeče, ztráta hybnosti končetin, vysoká klenba chodidel, zkrácená Achillova šlacha, zkroucené prsty (tzv. kladívkové prsty), časté zakopávání a pády, a ztráta citu v rukou a nohou. Jedná se o oslabení svalů na periferii dolních končetin, které vede k přepadávání špiček, zakopávání, pádům a později znemožňuje i samostatnou chůzi. Při další progresi onemocnění se objevují strukturální deformity nohou. V důsledku svalových atrofií jsou postiženy rovněž funkce rukou, hlavně jemná motorika. Postižení senzitivních nervů vede ke snížení schopnosti rozlišit drobné předměty dotykem nebo odlišit teplé a studené předměty. Dále dochází ke zhoršování funkce senzitivních nervů, které zprostředkovávají vnímání bolesti, doteku, hluboké citlivosti atd.
Aby toho nebylo málo, v deseti letech Adrianě diagnostikovali Crohnovu chorobu a celiakii. Crohnova choroba je autoimunitní chronické onemocnění trávicího traktu. Způsobuje zánětlivé procesy v různých částech trávicí soustavy. Proniká hluboko do vrstev postižené tkáně a může mít bolestivý a oslabující průběh s život ohrožujícími komplikacemi.
Ve dvaceti letech se Adrianě stala nešťastná nehoda, ochrnula na 60% těla a stala se z ní paraplegička odkázaná na invalidní vozík a na pomoc ostatních. Nehoda jí rozdrtila 1. a 2. bederní obratel. Skončila taky se zlomenýma nohama, rozdrcenou patní kostí a zlomeným sternem. Nehoda obrátila Adrianě již tak komplikovaný život naruby, ale nechce se vzdát a chce i nadále zabojovat za důstojný život.
Adriana – velká bojovnice
Adriana již od útlého dětství byla veselá, bystrá, inteligentní a láskyplná dívka, která do všeho dávala své srdce a dokázala podporovat kolem sebe lidi s jejich problémy a motivovat je k lepším zítřkům. I když má sama trápení, tak neváhá pomoci ostatním. Adriana žije jen se svou maminkou, která o ní maximálně pečuje, ale bohužel nejsou v dobré finanční situaci. Vaše podpora ji dá sílu a motivaci pokračovat v započaté cestě.

Who Are You Helping? Adriana's Story
Adriana has been dealing with a difficult fate since she was a child. She has a combined disability. She suffers from a hereditary degenerative progressive disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth syndrome. Degenerative changes concern both motor and sensory components. The changes are most pronounced on the lower limbs, but affects the upper limbs as well, and above all complicates everyday life. Common symptoms include weakness in the legs, ankles, feet and hands, muscle loss in the legs and feet, hand fatigue, painful cramps, loss of limb mobility, high arched feet, shortened Achilles tendon, twisted toes (called hammertoes), frequent tripping and falls, and loss of feeling in hands and feet. It is a weakening of the limbs on the periphery, which leads to tripping, falls and later makes independent walking impossible. As the disease progresses, structural deformities of the legs appear. As a result of muscle atrophy, the functions of the hands are also affected, mainly fine motor skills. Damage to the sensitive nerves leads to a decrease in the ability to distinguish small objects by touch or distinguish between warm and cold objects. Furthermore, the functions of the sensitive nerves that mediate the perception of pain, touch, deep sensitivity, etc., deteriorate.
To make matters worse, Adriana was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and celiac disease at the age of ten. Crohn's disease is an autoimmune chronic disease of the digestive tract. It causes inflammatory processes in various parts of the digestive system. It penetrates deep into the layers of affected tissue and can have a painful and debilitating course with life-threatening complications.
At the age of 20, Adriana had an unfortunate accident, got paralyzed from the waist down and became a paraplegic who is dependent on a wheelchair and the help of others. The accident crushed her 1st and 2nd lumbar vertebrae. She also ended up with broken legs, a crushed heel bone and a broken sternum. The accident turned Adriana's already complicated life upside down, but she doesn't want to give up and wants to continue fighting for a dignified life.
Adriana – the warrior of everyday life
From an early childhood, Adriana was a cheerful, bright, intelligent and affectionate girl who put her heart into everything and was able to support people around her with their problems and motivate them for a better tomorrow. Even if she is suffering herself, she does not hesitate to help others. Adriana lives only with her mother, who takes care of her as much as possible, but unfortunately they are not in a good financial situation. Your support will give her strength and motivation to continue the journey she has started.
