To je hazardování se životem,“ řekl mi integrativní lékař, kterého jsem navštívila ve Vídni. „Potřebujeme zařídit, aby chemoterapie zabrala co nejlépe.“ Vzal mi asi 10 zkumavek krve na speciální test na senzibilizátory léčby.
Jmenuji se Petra Alexová, jsem mámou dvou dětí, psycholožka a troufám si říct milovnice života. Potkala mě nelehká překážka v podobě rakoviny prsu ve IV. stadiu s četnými metastatickými ložisky v kostech a v oblasti plic.
Potřebuji vybrat prostředky na integrativní léčbu v zahraničí a podpůrné prostředky a doplňky k léčbě, abych tu pro sebe a své děti mohla být co nejdéle a s co nejvyšší kvalitou života 🙏

My name is Petra Alexová, I am a mother of two children, a psychologist and I dare say a lover of life. I have been faced with a difficult obstacle in the form of stage IV breast cancer with numerous metastatic foci in the bones and lungs.
I need to raise funds for integrative treatment abroad and support and supplements for treatment so that I can be here for myself and my children as long as possible and with the highest quality of life 🙏

Jmenuji se Petra Alexová a 18. 11. mi bude 45 let. Jsem mámou, samoživitelkou dvou dětí, 12letého Iviho a 9leté Aničky, které mám ve střídavé péči.
Od března 2022 se léčím s inflamatorním karcinomem prsu, což je velmi agresivní a rychle se šířící typ nádoru. Podstoupila jsem 16 dávek chemoterapie, která však nebyla natolik úspěšná, aby nádor a metastáze v uzlinách zmizely; následovala operace, odstranění prsu a dvou etáží uzlin, ozařování a injekce na tlumení funkce vaječníků, které bohužel nefungovaly dostatečně, takže bylo nutné vaječníky odstranit. Kvůli neúspěšnosti chemoterapie jsem podstoupila biologickou léčbu, kterou jsem společně s hormonální léčbou brala až do recidivy. V létě se onemocnění vrátilo v daleko závažnější podobě.
Aktuálně užívám chemoterapii v tabletách. Naštěstí zvládám relativně fungovat, postarat se o děti i sebe, ale na léčbu si vydělat nedokážu.
Mnohočetná metastatická ložiska mám v kostech a oblasti plic. Rakovina je ve IV., tedy konečném stadiu. Přesný stav nemám odvahu číst v lékařské zprávě. Dle lékařů léčíme, ale nevyléčíme (dle mě se však zázraky a radikální remise dějí 🙏).

Who Are you Helping?
My name is Petra Alexová, and I will be turning 45 on November 18th. I’m a mother and a single parent to two children—12-year-old Ivi and 9-year-old Anička, whom I share custody of.
Since March 2022, I’ve been battling inflammatory breast cancer, a highly aggressive and fast-spreading type of tumor. I underwent 16 rounds of chemotherapy, but unfortunately, it wasn’t effective enough to shrink the tumor or eliminate the metastases in my lymph nodes. This was followed by surgery to remove my breast and two levels of lymph nodes, radiation therapy, and ovarian suppression injections, which unfortunately didn’t work, leading to the removal of my ovaries. Due to the failure of chemotherapy, I started biological treatment, which I combined with hormone therapy until my disease recurred this summer in a much more severe form.
Currently, I am taking chemotherapy in tablet form. Thankfully, I am managing to function relatively well, taking care of my children and myself, but I am unable to earn enough to cover the costs of my treatment.
The cancer is in stage IV, the final stage, and I have metastases in my bones and lungs. I don’t have the courage to read the exact details in my medical report, but my doctors say we are treating it, though not curing it. However, I believe that miracles and radical remissions do happen.
