Zachraň český cheerleading!

Sportovní cheerleading – akrobacie ve vzduchu i na zemi, tanec, odvaha, úsměv a parta skvělých lidí. I tak by se dal ve stručnosti popsat sport, který je v České republice v tuto  chvíli ve finanční tísni. V létě 2021 byl cheerleading uznán olympijským sportem a v roce 2022 jsme přivezli zlato z mistrovství světa juniorek a stříbro z hlavní kategorie MS v Orlandu na Floridě. A ve stejném roce, kdy se reprezentační tým ve sportovním cheerleadingu zapsal do historie českého cheerleadingu, se nad ním začaly stahovat mračna.  Český cheerleading je prostřednictvím České asociace cheerleaders z velké části financován státními prostředky a právě ty nám díky současné politické situaci ve sportu nebyly v roce 2022 přiděleny v uvažované a opakovaně národní institucí slibované výši.  Kvůli této situaci jsme se v říjnu 2022 ocitli bez státních prostředků pro reprezentační týmy. Sportovci si tak celý výjezd na Mistrovství světa do USA a později i na Mistrovství Evropy v Řecku 2022 plně hradili sami, asociace se koncem roku stěží drží nad vodou  a výhled výše dotačních prostředků na 2023 je zahalen v mlze nejistoty. Nemáme dostatek prostředků na další činnost, realizaci soutěží a akcí pro naše sportovce, děti a mládež. Český cheerleading se blíží k likvidaci.

Cheerleading – acrobatics in the air and on the ground, dance, courage, smile and a bunch of great people. That’s how one could briefly describe the sport, which is Czechia in financial trouble at the moment. In the summer of 2021, cheerleading was recognized as an Olympic sport and in 2022 our National team brought the gold medal from World Junior Championships and the silver medal from World Championships in Orlando, Florida. In the same year, when the national team entered the history of Czech cheerleading, clouds began to gather over it. Czech cheerleading is through Czech Cheer Association financed by state funds, and thanks to the current political situation in sports, they were not allocated to us in the amount originally considered and promised by the national institution. The athletes thus fully paid their entire trip to the World Championships in USA and also to European Championships in Greece 2022, the association is now barely surviving and the future is uncertain. We do not have enough funds for further activities, organizing of competitions and events for our athletes, children and youth. Czech cheerleading is approaching liquidation.

Cheerleading v ČR zaštiťuje Česká asociace cheerleaders z.s., která již přes 20 let řídí rozvoj sportovního cheerleadingu v Česku, organizuje soutěže pro české ale i zahraniční sportovce, byla mj. pořadatelem velice úspěšného ME v Praze 2017, a vysílá sportovní reprezentace na evropská a světová mistrovství. Zároveň se aktivně stará o rozvoj talentovaných dětí a mládeže a propagaci cheerleadingu na území ČR. Kromě aktivit asociace v České republice, kde se kromě cheerleadingu účastní také rozvoje českého sportu jako takového prostřednictvím členství v národních organizacích, je asociace uznávaná i mimo hranice a to díky kvalitním porotcům, sportovcům ale i aktivity jejích členů v evropské cheer unii a rozvoji evropského cheerleadingu.

Cheerleading in the Czech Republic is patronized and sponsored by the Czech Association of Cheerleaders z.s., which has been managing its development for over 20 years, organizes competitions for Czech and foreign athletes, also organized very successful Europeans in Prague 2017, and sends national teams to European and world championships. At the same time actively takes care of the development of talented children and youth and the promotion of cheerleading in the Czech Republic. In addition to its activities in the Czech Republic, the association is also recognized outside the borders thanks to high-quality judges, athletes and active participation in european cheer union.
