Po traumatu odešel z armády a vrátil se do civilu.
V letech 2015 až 2022 byl aktivním účastníkem a vítězem Invictus Games, kde se věnoval atletice.
Dne 24. 02. 2022, kdy začala totální invaze, byl zařazen do Národní gardy, praporu Donbas.
Týden před Novým rokem 2023 byl zraněn u Kremeny v Luhanské oblasti. Mina ráže 120 mm zasáhla příkop, kde byl on a další tři vojáci. Všichni byli zraněni. Viktor říká, že když byl evakuován, zjistil, že nemá nohy, a okamžitě řekl svým kamarádům, že bude používat protézy, aby uběhl maraton.

After the trauma, he left the military and came back to civilian life.
From 2015 to 2022, he was an active participant and winner of the Invictus Games, where he was involved in athletics.
On 24. 02. 2022, when the full-scale invasion began, he was enlisted in the National Guard, Donbas Battalion.
A week before the 2023 New Year, he was wounded near Kremena, Luhansk region. A 120 mm mine hit the trench, where he and another three soldiers were. All of them were injured. Viktor says that when he was being evacuated, he realized he had no legs and immediately told his comrades that he would use prostheses to run a marathon.
