Romanovi je teprve 21 let. Ještě nedávno žil obyčejný život v Lvovské oblasti – pracoval jako barman, sportoval, věnoval se boxu a běhání a měl plány do budoucna. Na konci roku 2024 se dobrovolně rozhodl vstoupit do armády, aby pomohl bránit svou zemi. Sloužil jako operátor bezpilotního prostředku nejprve v rámci Obranné zpravodajské služby Ukrajiny a později u 3. samostatného průzkumného praporu.

Dne 24. října 2025 utrpěl při službě v charkovském sektoru těžké zranění způsobené výbuchem. V kritické situaci měl na levé noze zaškrcovadlo po dobu šesti hodin. I když po celou dobu zůstal při vědomí, dlouhodobé zaškrcení způsobilo nevratné poškození tkáně. Lékaři udělali maximum, aby jeho nohu zachránili, ale amputaci se nepodařilo zabránit. Roman podstoupil amputaci v oblasti kolene a následně další operaci ve střední části stehna. Jeho léčba a zotavení probíhaly v nemocnicích v Izjumu, Charkově a nakonec ve Lvově.

Navzdory všemu, čím prošel, Roman neztratil odhodlání. Je rozhodnutý dokončit rehabilitaci a vrátit se k aktivní službě.

Pomůžeme mladému muži, jehož život se během jediného dne zásadně změnil. Roman byl aktivní, silný a plný plánů. Dnes čelí nové realitě, která od něj vyžaduje obrovskou odvahu, vytrvalost a podporu okolí.

Roman nyní čeká na moderní elektronickou kolenní protézu, která mu umožní znovu získat samostatnost a výrazně zlepší kvalitu jeho každodenního života. Tato protéza mu pomůže vrátit se k běžným činnostem, pohybu a postupně i k jeho dalším cílům.

Vybrané prostředky budou použity na pořízení moderní elektronické protézy kolene pro Romana, která je klíčová pro jeho rehabilitaci, samostatnost a návrat do aktivního života.

Pokud se podaří vybrat více prostředků, budou využity na léčbu, rehabilitaci a péči o další pacienty, kteří utrpěli podobná vážná zranění a potřebují specializovanou pomoc na své cestě k zotavení.

Introduction of the fundraiser

Roman is only 21 years old. Not long ago, he lived an ordinary life in the Lviv region, working as a bartender and staying active through boxing and running. He had plans for his future. At the end of 2024, he voluntarily joined the military to defend his country. He served as a UAV operator, first within the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and later with the 3rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion.

On October 24, 2025, while serving in the Kharkiv sector, Roman sustained a severe blast injury. In the critical moments following the explosion, a tourniquet was applied to his left leg for six hours. Although he remained conscious throughout the entire time, the prolonged pressure caused irreversible damage. Doctors did everything they could to save his leg, but amputation became unavoidable. Roman underwent a knee disarticulation, followed by a re-amputation at the middle third of the thigh. His recovery journey has taken him through hospitals in Izyum, Kharkiv, and finally Lviv.

Despite everything he has endured, Roman’s determination remains strong. He is committed to completing his rehabilitation and returning to active service.

This fundraiser supports a young man whose life changed in a single moment. Roman was active, strong, and full of plans. Today, he faces a new reality that requires immense courage, resilience, and support.

Roman is currently waiting for an advanced electronic knee prosthesis that will help him regain independence and significantly improve his quality of life. This prosthesis will allow him to move more freely and continue working toward his goals.

How the funds will be used

The collected funds will be used to provide Roman with a modern electronic knee prosthesis, which is essential for his rehabilitation, independence, and return to an active life.
