Producentka Angelica G. L´Amour burlesce propadla na Novém Zélandu, kde dlouho žila. S využitím zahraničních zkušeností založila v roce 2013 Bohemian Burlesque, aby tuto uměleckou formu více propagovala i u nás. Slovo Bohemian si vybrala, aby tématizovala svůj původ a navíc burlesky jsou jednoznačně bohémské.
K týmu Bohemian Burlesque se přidala neocenitelná koproducentka Yassmine de Mortifére a v roce 2016 k běžným show přibyl i projekt největší burlesque akce v ČR, čtyřdenního Bohemian Burlesque Festivalu.
Byli jsme první, kdo v ČR pořádal mezinárodní burlesque show, a za tu dobu se nám podařilo přivézt největší světové hvězdy jako Dirty Martini a Jo Weldon, které se spolu s Ditou von Teese zasloužily o revival burlesky na začátku devadesátých let.
V naší burlesque škole vychováváme nové české talenty, které se rády učí od našich zahraničních hostů na diskusích a workshopech. Burlesku jsme vždy propagovali nejen v Praze, ale i regionálně, máme silnou základnu v Brně a nedávno jsme expandovali do Olomouce a Ostravy. Další města jako České Budějovice se chystají.
Bohemian Burlesque Festival
The fifth year of the biggest burlesque event in the Czech Republic could not take place on the original November date, but we are not giving up and moving it to the end of January 28th to 31th. Support us and enjoy the sparkly world of burlesque and cabaret with 50 performers from all over the world in Brno and Prague. Hopefully the sixth edition then can be done in th usual date in mid November 2021.
Every year, we select star guests for you and sometimes more than 60 performers altogether from all over the world, who put all their creativity, enthusiasm and heart into unique experiences for you. But practically the whole of last year, these artists were out of work, so we want to pamper them as much as the finances allow, with food, drink and transportation, better financial conditions and more. And you can help us with that
Our producer Angelica G. L´Amour discovered burlesque in New Zealand and with this international experience, she founded Bohemian Burlesque in 2013 and chose the word Bohemian to honor her heritage and because burlesquers are clearly bohemian. Co-producer Yassmine de Mortifére joined the team and they started the biggest burlesque event in the CZ, the four-day Bohemian Burlesque Festival on top of the regular shows.
BB was first to organize an international burlesque show in the CZ and during last 7 years brought the world's biggest stars here such as Dirty Martini and Jo Weldon. They also raise local talents in burlesque school via classes and workshop. BB has always worked not just in Prague but also in Brno and recently in Ostrava, Olomouc and more.
