Pomohli jste mámě dvou dětí s léčbou zákeřného typu rakoviny

Jmenuji se Ilona Průchová, je mi 41 let. Jsem máma osmiletých dvojčat Nikolky a Simonky.

Mám rakovinu prsu se zvláštní mutací, a tak je pro mě klasická léčba nabízená naším zdravotnictvím a hrazená pojišťovnou zcela neúčinná. Světová medicína však nabízí určité možnosti léčby i pro mě. Léčba v zahraničí, kterou jsem si doposud hradila sama, je bohužel nákladná tak moc, že si ji už nemůžu dovolit. Vyčerpali jsme veškeré možnosti vlastních zdrojů získaných z prodeje bytu, auta a dosavadních úspor.

My name is Ilona Průchová, I am 41 years old. I am the mother of eight-year-old twins Nikolka and Simonka.

I have breast cancer with a very rare mutation, so the classic treatment offered to me here in the Czech Republic by our healthcare system and paid for by insurance company is completely ineffective for me. However, world medicine offers certain treatment options for me as well. Unfortunately, the treatment abroad which I have funded myself until now, is so expensive that I can no longer afford it. Myself and my husband have exhausted all possibilities of our own resources obtained from the sale of the apartment, car and previous savings.

Vše začalo v roce 2020, kdy mi byla diagnostikována rakovina prsu s metastázami. Na začátku mé cesty byla jen intuice. Tušila jsem, že nabízená léčba u nás by mi nepomohla. Začala jsem proto hledat jiné možnosti. Po roce jsem nakonec objevila kliniku v Německu, kde mi byli schopni pomoct, a během následujících osmi měsíců se podařilo odstranit nádor z prsu i se všemi metastázami v lymfatických uzlinách, a dokonce i kostech. Na jaře 2022 ukazovalo kontrolní PET CT a sonografické vyšetření jen zhojená místa bez rakoviny.

Rakovina se mi bohužel velice brzy vrátila. Od podzimu 2022 se opět léčím v Německu. Rakovinné buňky jsou však již vůči původním látkám odolné, a tak bylo nutné najít nový lék. Nechala jsem si proto v německé laboratoři jako samoplátce udělat velmi nákladnou analýzu odebrané nádorové tkáně. Tento speciální test ukázal, že mám zvláštní mutaci, díky které jsem na chemoterapii a biologickou léčbu, kterou jsem měla být u nás léčena, rezistentní. Naštěstí výsledky testu odhalily další možnosti a naději na vyléčení nebo alespoň významné prodloužení života.

It all started in 2020 when I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. At the beginning of my journey there was only intuition. I suspected that the treatment offered here would not help me. That's why I started looking for other options. After a year, I finally found a clinic in Germany where they were able to help me, and over the next eight months, they managed to remove the tumor from the breast with all the metastases in the lymph nodes and even the bones. In the spring of 2022, a follow-up PET CT and sonographic examination showed the effected areas of my body were finally cancer free.

Unfortunately, in autumn 2022 the cancer returned . I am currently being treated again in Germany. However, the cancer cells are already resistant to the original substances and treatment, so it was necessary to find a new drug. I therefore had a very expensive and detailed analysis of the removed tumor tissue completed in a German laboratory. This test showed that I have a special mutation that makes me resistant to the chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies that I was supposed to receive in the Czech Republic. Fortunately, the test results revealed other possibilities and hope for a cure or at least a significant extension of life.

Vybrané peníze bych ráda využila na úhradu nákladů za léčbu, jejíž odhadovaná částka je minimálně 1 300 000 Kč. Veškeré peníze, které by z vybrané částky již nebylo potřeba využít k úhradám mé léčby, bych darovala na sbírky lidí, kteří řeší obdobné zdravotní komplikace a nemohou si potřebnou léčbu dovolit.

All funds raised will be put towards the costs of the treatment,  which is estimated at €55,000. Any excess money raised beyond the required amount for my treatment will be donated to patients with similar health issues who are unable to afford their health care.
