Oleksandr Rakhmannyi (28) pochází z Pryluky v Černihivské oblasti. Před válkou vedl obyčejný, spokojený život – pracoval jako svářeč, kuchař i ve výrobě, trávil čas s rodinou, sportoval a rád si užíval pohybu venku. Se svou ženou, se kterou je přes 10 let, vychovává osmiletého syna. Hned první den plnohodnotné invaze se rozhodl dobrovolně vstoupit do obrany Ukrajiny a plnil úkoly přímo na frontě.

Dne 25. září 2024 byl Oleksandr při ostřelování v Torecku vážně zraněn – poranění zasáhla celé jeho tělo, hlavu, krk i obě nohy. Díky rychlé pomoci spolubojovníků přežil, ale přišel o obě dolní končetiny. Od loňského roku se léčí v centru Superhumans ve Lvově, kde podstoupil řadu operací a také poprvé vyzkoušel para hokej na sledge. Dnes aktivně trénuje, je připravený na protézy a chce se znovu zapojit do života – pomáhat druhým veteránům a být oporou své rodině.

Oleksandr potřebuje dvě protézy dolních končetin a komplexní rehabilitaci v centru Superhumans. Celková částka činí 24 000 EUR. Díky vaší podpoře získá možnost znovu chodit, sportovat a pokračovat ve své cestě k plnohodnotnému životu.

About the fundraiser

Oleksandr Rakhmannyi (28) comes from Pryluky, Chernihiv region. Before the war, he lived a peaceful, ordinary life – working as a welder, cook, and in a shoe factory, spending time with his family, going to the gym, and enjoying sports and outdoor activities. He has been with his wife for over 10 years, and together they are raising their 8-year-old son. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr volunteered to join Ukraine’s Defense Forces and carried out missions on the front line.

Who we are helping

On September 25, 2024, during shelling in Toretsk, Oleksandr sustained severe injuries affecting his entire body, head, neck, and both legs. Thanks to the quick reaction of his comrades, he survived, but ultimately lost both lower limbs. Since last year, he has been undergoing treatment at the Superhumans Center in Lviv, where he had several surgeries and discovered para ice hockey, which he now trains in actively. He is ready for prosthetics and wants to focus on reintegration, supporting fellow veterans, and being there for his family.

How the funds will be used

Oleksandr needs two leg prosthetics and complex rehabilitation at Superhumans. The total cost is 24,000 EUR. With your support, he will have the chance to walk again, continue sports, and rebuild his life with dignity and strength.
