Pomohli jste Natálce s pořízením nového vozíku s pohonem

Jmenuji se Michal a jsem otec desetileté Natálky Nechvátalové, která prodělala autonehodu v necelém roce života. Byla dokonce tři měsíce v kómatu a poté se musela vše učit znovu. Trpělivostí, odhodláním a s velkou dřinou se dostala až k chůzi s dopomocí a k invalidnímu vozíku, který se učí ovládat sama. Když ale jdeme ven na procházky a chceme na výlety, s běžným invalidním vozíkem to nejde. Proto potřebuje nový vozík s pohonem, který by zvládla ovládat i sama. Moc by nám to pomohlo, protože manželka je po těžké nemoci a postupem času jí ubývají síly, a já musím pracovat, abych zabezpečil rodinu.

My name is Michal, and I am the father of ten-year-old Natálka Nechvátalová. She was in a car accident before her first birthday. She spent three months in a coma and had to relearn everything afterward. With patience, determination, and a lot of hard work, she has progressed to walking with assistance and using a manual wheelchair, which she is learning to operate on her own. However, when we go for walks or trips, a regular wheelchair is not enough. She needs a powered wheelchair that she can control herself. This would be a great help to us, especially since my wife is recovering from a severe illness and is gradually losing strength, while I have to work to support our family.

Natálka byla krásná, aktivní holčička, avšak osud jí nepřál. V květnu 2015, kdy jí nebyl ani rok, utrpěla kraniotrauma – těžké poranění hlavy. Upadla do vigilního kómatu, které trvalo zhruba tři měsíce. Poté jí byla diagnostikována těžká kvadruparéza a přechodně měla také sondu do bříška. Měl jsem mikrospánek a narazil do stromu, poté začal kolotoč problémů a starostí – neustálé návštěvy nemocnic, lékařů a neurorehabilitací. Lékaři jí dávali jen jedno procento šance na přežití a žádnou naději na zlepšení. Ale nevzdali jsme se a bojovali.

Nejprve jsme zkoušeli vzpomínky na známé vůně, hračky a okolí. Rehabilitace na dýchání byla nutností, protože nedokázala sama ani dýchat. Postupně se naučila polykat, přijímat potravu a znovu mluvit. Rehabilitace byly strašně bolestivé a plné slz, ale začala lézt, snažit se s dopomocí přendávat nohy a učit se na invalidním vozíku. Dnes dokonce chodí do běžné školy s asistentkou. Jenže rychle roste a potřebuje nový vozík. Miluje pobyt venku v přírodě, ale Vysočina je plná kopců a sami už ji nedokážeme všude dopravit bez pohonu. Navíc by ho mohla ovládat sama a cítit se svobodněji – tak jako ostatní děti kolem ní. Sama už se nikdy nerozejde ani nerozběhne, ale tohle by jí mohlo vrátit aspoň část svobody.

Natálka was a beautiful, active little girl, but fate was not kind to her. In May 2015, before she turned one, she suffered a severe head injury (cranial trauma). She fell into a vegetative coma for about three months. After that, she was diagnosed with severe quadriparesis and temporarily needed a feeding tube. The accident happened when I fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a tree, setting off a whirlwind of problems—endless hospital visits, medical treatments, and neurorehabilitation. The doctors gave her only a 1% chance of survival and no hope for improvement. But we refused to give up and fought for her recovery.

At first, we stimulated her memory with familiar scents, toys, and surroundings. Breathing rehabilitation was essential since she couldn't even breathe on her own. Step by step, she learned to swallow, eat, and speak again. The rehabilitation was incredibly painful and full of tears, but she began crawling, attempting to move her legs with assistance, and learning to use a wheelchair. Today, she even attends a regular school with an assistant. However, she is growing quickly and needs a new wheelchair. She loves spending time outdoors, but Vysočina is full of hills, and we can no longer push her everywhere without assistance. A powered wheelchair would give her the ability to move around independently and feel freer—just like the other children around her. She will never walk or run on her own again, but this could give her back some sense of freedom.

Peníze ze sbírky by byly použity na nový invalidní vozík s elektrickým pohonem, aby se Natálka mohla venku pohybovat svobodněji, užít si delší procházky s rodinou, podívat se do přírody a zažít radosti, které zdravé děti berou jako samozřejmost – protože si kamkoli doběhnou nebo dojdou. Vysočina, kde žijeme, je plná kopců a někdy není v našich silách je s vozíkem zdolat. Nový vozík na míru s pohonem však stojí 300 tisíc korun.

Pokud by se vybralo méně, než potřebujeme, budeme nuceni požádat o výpomoc rodinu, které bychom postupně částku vrátili. Kdyby se vybralo více, než je potřebná částka, zbytek bychom použili na neurorehabilitaci v lázních v Ostravě, které Natálka dvakrát ročně navštěvuje, aby její svaly lépe pracovaly.

To, co se stalo, změnilo život celé naší rodiny, ale pevně věříme, že Natálce vždy pomůžeme a posuneme ji v životě dál, aby mohla prožít co nejplnohodnotnější život.

The funds from this fundraiser would go towards a new powered wheelchair so that Natálka can move around outdoors more freely, enjoy longer walks with her family, experience nature, and share the simple joys that healthy children take for granted—like running or walking anywhere they please. The Vysočina region, where we live, is full of hills, and sometimes we simply cannot manage them with a manual wheelchair. However, a custom-made powered wheelchair costs 300,000 CZK.

If we raise less than needed, we will have to ask our family for financial help and gradually repay them. If we raise more than the required amount, the extra funds would go towards Natálka’s neurorehabilitation in a specialized spa in Ostrava, which she attends twice a year to keep her muscles functioning better.

What happened to her changed our entire family’s life, but we firmly believe that we can always support Natálka and help her progress so that she can live as fulfilling a life as possible.
