In a dystopian city where human flesh is the only food and criminals end up on butcher's counters, a desperate antihero defies the rules to escape death.
MEAT will be a short dystopian horror film produced as a graduation project at the Center for Audiovisual Studies (CAS) of FAMU.
MEAT is based on a book of the same name by the underground author Martin Harníček. Due to its subversive nature at the time, it was only published illegaly in 1980 and the author had to emigrate.
We are shooting MASO on 16mm film, alternating between black-and-white and color material. To this end, we have established a partnership with the Czech company FOMA, one of the few in the world that still manufactures film material.
