We are a group of friends and families who have formed around organizing and participating in Beautiful Gatherings (https://www.beautifulgatherings.eu). The experience of these special events allows us to discover the healing potential of mindful sharing and opening the magic windows. We are on a mission to create a unique and welcoming space where people can come together for music, yoga, and a variety of gatherings. Based in an old farmhouse in the mountains, our community is still growing and bringing new people into our lives. 

Right now, our biggest challenge is to complete the construction of the common space under the roof of the barn. While the ground floor already provides us with a pizza oven, an outdoor kitchen and an open hall, the first floor of the building has the potential to extend the possibilities for the community. This room will be used to host workshops during the winter period and allows us to continue with bigger events throughout the year. In addition, the final vision is to have concerts, live music recordings  and accommodation for all the musicians and travelers who pass through, with the possibility of staying in comfort. We are happy to maintain an inspiring place for people to connect, create, and grow.

We came to the Novohradske Mountains twenty-five years ago as a family with a dream to live in nature surrounded by a small community of people. We are connected by music and creativity, sitting around the fire and participating in various projects. We take care of ten horses on our meadows, with annual two-week summer camps for children. We run a workshop for handmade shoes, which is our family business. Our closest neighbor and friend makes teepees and tents, lives simply in a caravan and plays in a music band with us. To have a land and an open house gives us the opportunity to provide a wider community with a space for art, culture, and well-being. We welcome many people by sharing in different ways and collaborating in the development of a common safe space in nature.

This is more than just a building, it’s a space that opens up many possibilities. Once completed, it will serve as:

– A concert venue for musicians and music lovers to share live performances and record music. 
– An accommodation for artists and travelers. 
– A peaceful retreat for meditation, yoga, and personal well-being. 
– A gathering place for workshops, discussions, and community events. 
– A creative hub where people can express themselves and collaborate.

Creating a common space gives us the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and experience alternative models for organizing the collective. As many of you already know, we maintain a center for learning and creative expression with the capacity to benefit many people from all over the world. You are welcome to visit the place and participate in events based on sharing and helping each other.

How Your Support Matters 

The project of renovating of the barn has already started last year during the first collective work days, when we finished the wood paneling of the ceiling on the ground floor and prepared the space for the next step. In order to continue the Working Jamming Party this spring, we need to buy the materials to finalize this project. This includes purchase of insulation and wood to finish the floor of the common space that is approximately 150 m² large. 

The cost of wood and insulation for the spring phase of the project is 3,200 Euros (80,000 Czk) All the work will be done by our team during volunteer community days, also known as Working Jamming Party.

Jsme skupina přátel a rodin, které spojila organizace a participace na Beautiful Gatherings (https://www.beautifulgatherings.eu/). Zkušenosti z těchto výjimečných akcí nám umožňují objevovat léčivý potenciál vědomého sdílení a otevírání magických oken. Naším cílem je vytvořit jedinečný a přívětivý prostor, kde se lidé mohou scházet při hudbě, józe a na různých společných akcí. Centrem naší komunity, která neustále roste a přivádí do našich životů nové lidi, je starý statek v Novohradských horách.

V tuto chvíli je naší největší výzvou dokončení stavby společného prostoru v podkroví stodoly. Zatímco v přízemí již máme pec na pizzu, venkovní kuchyni a otevřený sál, první patro budovy má obrovský potenciál rozšířit možnosti pro naši komunitu. Tento prostor by mohl sloužit k pořádání workshopů v zimních měsících a umožnit nám organizovat větší akce po celý rok. Naší dlouhodobou vizí je vytvořit nahrávací studio a ubytování pro hudebníky a cestovatele, kteří by zde mohli najít pohodlné útočiště. Je pro nás radostí udržovat inspirativní místo, kde se lidé mohou propojit, tvořit a společně růst.

Proč je tento prostor důležitý

Nejde jen o budovu, ale hlavně o místo, které otevírá nové možnosti. Po dokončení bude sloužit jako:

• Koncertní sál pro živá hudební vystoupení a nahrávání.
• Ubytování pro umělce a cestovatele.
• Klidné útočiště pro meditaci, jógu a osobní rozvoj.
• Místo setkávání pro workshopy, diskuse a komunitní akce.
• Tvořivý prostor, kde lidé mohou vyjádřit svou kreativitu a spolupracovat.

Jak můžete pomoci

Projekt rekonstrukce stodoly začal už minulý rok během prvních kolektivních pracovních dnů, kdy jsme dokončili dřevěné obložení stropu v přízemí budovy a připravili prostor na další fázi. Abychom mohli pokračovat ve společné stavební akci na jaře, potřebujeme pořídit základní materiál – izolaci a dřevo na podlahu. Jakmile bude tato fáze hotová, místnost bude možné využít k přespávání během letních akcí a začít s její přípravou na zimu.

Náklady na dřevo a izolaci pro jarní fázi projektu jsou 80,000 Czk (3,200 Eur) a veškerou práci odvedou dobrovolníci. Každý příspěvek nás přiblíží k otevření nového prostoru a uskutečnění této vize. Každá částka pomůže a společně můžeme vytvořit něco výjimečného. Váš dar bude mít trvalý dopad na komunitní prostor, který bude sloužit mnoha lidem po dlouhá léta.
