Prohlédněte si, prosím, videopříběh naší Káji .
Please see the video story of our Kaja (find the translation below). *
Máme 10 let staré auto, do kterého není možné vjet invalidním vozíkem a dceru musíme přesazovat z vozíku do sedačky v autě. Kája váží 55 kg a děláme to již přes 30 let.

* "Hi there, My name is Karolina, but everybody calls me Kaya. I turned 30 last year. I have a mom, dad, sister, 2 grandmothers, dog, a big family, and lots of friends. I can‘t walk, I don’t speak and I can not look after myself, but I love music and I like to sing in my own language. Plus, although it may not be obvious at first, I am happy and cheerful. Every day I go to the „Paprsek Centre“ in a Prague neighborhood Hostivaře or Prosek. We call our assistants there „aunts and uncles“ and every day, they prepare several super fun activities for me and my friends, such as singing, yoga, painting, baking, or even „walking“. Sometimes I can go for a week-long stays at the outdoor school and in the summer I go to camps organized by a group of volunteers who call themselves „Sisters in Skirts“. They are so much fun. I love when things are different and as I said, I love music. There is always so much creativity there with music, theatre or painting. When my parents need to travel to get some time off from me and the chores, I like to go to Vokovice or Tloskov, which are small spa towns offering „respite stays“. Because of my epilepsy, I need to go for weekly rehabilitation with Radka and to regularly visit my doctor in another neighborhood called Motol. I say „I am going to“, but my parents who drive me everywhere! Especially my dad, because my mom doesn't have enough strength to lift me from the wheelchair to the car anymore. I very much needed a car with a ramp so that my parents could simply wheel me in the trunk of a car with the wheelchair. I have already found the car, but It will cost a little bit over million Czech Crowns. I know, it's a lot of money, but it needs to have special parameters: it has to be a small van that will fit in the trunk of the ramp, plus it has to be tall enough for the wheelchair to fit in with me sitting on it. Half a million Czech Crowns will come from my parents' savings, a government grant and tax deduction. And myself, I'd love to raise the remaining 500,000 CZK (that is about 22,000 USD) in this fundraising. Can you help me, please?"
