Andrii, Sergiy, Tetiana, Mariia, Nestor, Nadya, Andrii and Oleksii are Ukrainian citizens who were peacefully living their family lives in the capital of Kiev. But due to the horrific, unimaginable agression they were forced to leave everything behind and seek for safety for their families. After spending couple of days on the road, in trains, they've managed to come to Prague, where they had friends. With their help, we've got in contact and offered them to stay at our summer house.
Our house provides nice and warm shelter in the heart of Central Bohemian Highlands, but that is also the downside – there is no shop, no services in the village. The closest one is 4km away and the nearest city is 16km away. There is no bus/train connection from the village to any of these, so the only way to travel around is by car.
The goal of this fundraising is to get the money for the families so they can buy a car to travel around (to school, to their jobs, for groceries, etc.). We've even found a decent car for them (Nissan X-Trail), which they already like and are driving it. It is a car from my father-in-law's company which was about to be sold to a second-hand car shop. The shop offered 75.000 CZK, but he is willing to sell it for 60.000 CZK to them. For the time-being until we have the whole amount to pay for the car, he rented them the car free of charge for two weeks. After we will have the whole amount, they will sign a purchase contract and the car will be fully transferred into their possession.
If the target amount will be overachieved, they will receive the whole amount and can finance their gasoline from the additional money.
