Vás bych touto cestou chtěla požádat o pomoc v této nelehké situaci a pomoc v mé snaze vrátit se zpět do života.
Děkuji mnohokrát
Jana Slováčková

Who you would help?
My name is Jana Slovackova, I am 38 years old. Previously I worked as the graphic designer in Scotland, but unfortunately I can not do it at the moment, I am an invalid person, because I was hit by a car and I am after the serious brain injury.
Something more about my journey to Scotland. My plan was to go to Scotland, just for one year to learn English, but Scotland really enchanted me and I felt in love with Scottish landscape as well as Scottish people, so I stayed there till my injury. By the way I was hit by a car as a pedestrian on my way to work in Dundee in September 2019. I had serious brain injury and was in the coma for a while.
After I woke up from the coma I couldn’t talk and even move to much. I had to learn most of the common things again, as talking, walking and others. The car hit me from the right side, so I still feel pins and needles in the right side of my body all the time and this part of my body is not that sensitive as before. I used to be left handed, but unfortunately because of my intensive tremor of the left side of my body, I can not use it anymore in normal way, so I am learning to write and do most of the common things with my right hand now.
In addition, due to the injury, I had double vision and had to wear a patch over my eye for a year. My double vision has improved, so I don‘t have to wear a patch anymore. But because of this and also my injury, my head is constantly spinning, so my mobility and orientation in space is seriously affected. After this injury, it's probably quite common, so doctors believe that it can improve, but it will never fully dissepear.
By the way, two years ago I haven't believed, that I would be ever happy again. That I even manage to go to the toilet or to have shower by myself. Unfortunately I need an assistance24/7 at the moment. I was in intensive rehab after my injury and I have a long journey with my rehab, but I know, there is still a really long journey ahead of me.
In one rehab centre in Czechia, I have met a patient who was also after the brain injury who mentioned to me about the clinic Cellttera and their work with clients after injuries.
I am still dealing with my benefits and unfortunately I am not able to work anymore because of my medical condition, so me, my partner and my family are not able to provide me this expensive treatments, which may help me with my comeback to the normal life and to the better future and hopefully some progress with my medical condition. That is why, I am sharing my story and asking for help.
Money for the donation could help me to afford the treatment in this clinic, which as I hope, will help me to manage better the daily routine. And also hope that thanks to further treatment my speaking would get better as well as my dizziness, which I mentioned before.
That is why I am asking for help in this difficult time of my life, to help me to get closer to the normal life and get back to do things, what I like the most. For instance, I maybe not be able to work, but at least I could go back to volunteering in one of the charity, which I joined before my accident. They understand my situation and they would give me more time for work and so on. So I believe one day it might be possible for me again to do what I love to do without these limitations.
Thank you so much for your help and kindness, I really appreciate that.
With all my blessing
Thank you
Jana Slovackova
